I love this thing. I can say without a doubt that it’s the thing that has transformed my weight loss and fitness journey.
I have had an Apple Watch for just over a year now. Before this I tracked my steps (and later my runs) on my phone, but it was annoying not to record the activity that I did when I didn’t have my phone with me.
Since getting my watch I have become so much more active. I love seeing my average steps go up over time and hitting my activity goals. The activity rings on the watch are the most motivating. Some days I would rather do nothing at all and sit inside for hours but I go for a walk instead so I can complete my ring. My watch has made me aware and accountable of my activity level and has helped me to become consistent with it.
Knowing (roughly) how much energy I am using on any given day also helps me to make smarter choices about what I am going to eat.
Over this year with my Apple Watch I have felt so motivated to improve my lifestyle. I’m sure I would still be healthier now if I didn’t have it, but I really doubt I would have been able to make such a drastic change with my fitness and weight loss. If you struggle with accountability or motivation and have the resources, a fitness tracker is awesome.
