Counting calories showed me something

I don’t eat enough food during the day. And I don’t eat enough foods that will satiate me for long periods of time. Effectively and consistently setting me up for a binge later in the day. And then I’m not hungry in the morning, and the cycle continues.

I wouldn’t have known this without calorie counting, something I’ve always avoided.

For now, I am taking my focus away from total daily calories and focusing on having enough calories for breakfast and lunch to feel good throughout the day and set myself up for success at night. 3 solid meals a day. Not 2 half ass basically snackss, mood swings, glucose crashes, rage eating, emotional eating, etc.

I know this may seem obvious to some people, but my yoyo dieting, intermittent fasting before it was cool, fad dieting, cleansing, diet culture obsessed, fitness obsessed family really fucked me up.
