Is my regimen too intense?

Last summer I lost nearly 50 lbs, 245-195. I gained a little bit back over the school year but lost the little bit and now I’m starting the summer again at 195 right where I left off. I’m 19, male, 5’8, and my goal weight is 155-160 and I’ll figure out how I want to proceed at that point.

I know that losing fast is not recommended, but I want to surprise some college friends by going back a completely different person. I specifically canceled all of my internship interviews because I want to dedicate myself to this goal over the summer.

My schedule will be as follows:

Monday through Friday

10-10:30, tennis serve practice

10:30, cold plunge

11-11:30, eat breakfast: 3 boiled eggs and some fruit

12-2, Competitive academy tennis

2:30-4 Gym strength workout then swim session

4, eat lunch: turkey wrap with low carb tortilla. Add fruit, add Greek yogurt/another wrap if I feel particularly low energy.

In most evenings, playing an hour more of tennis with my brother.

On Mondays, 6:30-8 PM adult tennis

On Wednesdays, 8-9:30 PM adult tennis.

On weekends, choose either Saturday or Sunday to do a moderate hike (~7 miles, ~1500 ft elevation gain). The other weekend day, either rest or have a light tennis or swimming session.

For dinner every night, always eat closer to bedtime. My mom makes dinner a lot of the time but I usually have two pieces of salmon over brown rice, a lot of cooked carrots/broccoli, and a small bowl of fruit.

Throughout the day, I am constantly drinking water. I am going to set my minimum calories at 1200 per day and increase from there until I don’t feel low energy. I would prefer to not go over 1500 calories unless there is an exceptional circumstance or I find that I am always at low energy. I am confident that I won’t be at constant low energy because I did 1500 calories last summer and felt good. Hungry, but good. I do the cold plunge simply for the confidence it gives me throughout the rest of the day.

The competitive academy tennis only goes for 8 weeks, so I’d like to get a large chunk of the weight off by that point. I have around 3 months of summer before the first day of school and ideally I’d like to reach my goal by then. I am going on some trips throughout the summer and will be trying to just not gain any weight during those.

Everyone I talk to says this is too intense, but I’m so zoned in it feels impossible to get swayed off track right now. What do you think?
