Is it possible to lose weight walking 4 miles a day?

I've come to terms that I need to lose weight. My self esteem has been pretty shit for the past 3 years because of it and it's affecting almost every single aspect of my life. Not confident because of it so my dating life is basically non-existent. Grew out some facial hair to "cover" some of the face fat but my beard doesn't exactly grow nice so it looks shitty despite the grooming. It's hard to find a job that won't require me to shave it off. Not comfortable seeing old friends because they will definitely bring it up so I would rather not see them whatsoever. Old acquaintances have already brought up my weight gain and it feels awful every single time when I know I have. I went from being like 150 pounds in 2015 - 2019 to almost 196 pounds as of 2023. Alot of shit has happened since and those situations have definitely contributed to my weight gain, im a 5'5 male btw. I obviously don't have the same energy I did when I was younger and gas out quicker so I'm wondering if walking 4 miles a day at a pace of 3.0 - 3.5 on a treadmill will help lose weight. Id really appreciate some insight or tips on how you would recommend losing weight if a treadmill and dumbbell were your only tools as of now.
