First milestone achieved (sub 300)

Weighed in at 335lbs in February, steppes on the scales today at 299.9lbs! The next few days are going to be carefully monitored to make sure I never hit 300+ again - I know weight fluctuates and it’s not the end of the world if I peek over 300, but I want to note today as the day I dropped and stayed below 300 for life.

I thought I’d be here a lot sooner, but for about 6 weeks I was just maintaining / losing 1lbs per week - and although this is good for my health it tanked my motivation!

Looking forward to sub 280 next!

For those interested in what I’ve done - as I always am:

Weighed daily Calorie track daily - aiming for 1700cals a day.

First 2 months I was hitting cardio hard for an hour every day. 2000/cals per day AVERAGE as I was hitting my 1700 goal but a cheat meal here and there pushed up the average. My go to machines were stationary bike, stair master, treadmill in that order - 20 mins on each minimum targeting a 140-150bpm hr

The last 2 months I’ve been focusing on strength training alot more, increased my strength but as I already had a good base from powerlifting I started to focus on size as soon as I was happy with my base strength. Although my weight has stayed about the same at 305lbs my body noticeably looks better. Calories average out to 2400/day

The last week or so I’ve increased cardio but in the form of long but comfortable walks to try and develop a lifestyle change. still hitting the weights just as hard, calories dropped to 2000/day.
