It's another "why aren't I losing weight" post, but hear me out.
I (F32, 5'7", 70.4kg) have been losing/maintaining for six years, so I'm fairly practiced at this by now. I weigh and log all of my food every day when I'm losing.
A month ago I decided to start losing again as I had gained a few kg after recent surgery. I started at 71kg with a 1300 daily calorie limit. In the past this has always meant a steady loss of around 2-2.5kg a month. Exercise a couple of times a week would usually increase that rate a little.
At the same time, I started an exercise challenge of doing a 40 min swim, 30 min run or 10k steps per day, and have been mostly running or swimming each day. I've been doing a little strength training on my arms but not much.
I now weigh 70.4kg. After a month I've only lost 0.6kg, or 1.3lbs. What gives?
Is it ever so slight muscle growth because of the increased exercise, do we think? Something is happening because I'm currently wearing a pair of jeans I couldnt zip up three weeks ago, but that scale will not seem to budge.
Edit: forgot to mention I don't have periods, so it isn't cycle fluctuations.
