I have lost weight way fasted and effectively when I exercised at night compared to morning and afternoon workouts. Is there any science behind it?
I (23F, 160cm, CW=79kg, GW=50kg) have insulin resistance, I have been trying to lose weight for years. The last time I actually lost significant weight( 12kg) was when I was exercising at night. I had no problem sleeping afterwards. After that, I have tried fasted workouts, afternoon workouts (fed), all while being in caloric deficit. But none of them had the same effect as night workouts.
I was making sure I had 10k steps and doing low to mid intensity workouts at night. For morning fasted workouts, I was jogging (8km) and for afternoon workouts I was doing strength workouts (1.5hrs).
Is there something about night workout, sleeping right after workout help to burn more calories?
