Hi guys, just looking for an outside perspective. I have went from 260lbs beginning of last year to 198lbs now. I went up and down throughout the year due to poor eating habits but have managed to get myself below the 200 mark.
However, I have suddenly stalled, and my weight fluctuates daily between 198 - 202lbs. I am 6’, male, and I lift heavy weights 5 - 6x a week. I do not actively do cardio but I average 4-5k steps a day. I otherwise live a sedentary school/office life.
I eat 2000 calories per day w/ 150g protein, 150g carbs and the remainder fat. I have not been able to net negative any weight in a few weeks now and it’s beginning to make me wonder if that’s not actually just water retention, but just eating too much.
I meticulously track and weigh everything, and I’d honestly be a little surprised if 2000 calories is still too much to lose weight on. I would estimate I am probably around 17-18% bodyfat.
I drink about a gallon of water a day. The only other possibility I could see is maybe water retention because I ate roughly 70g more carbs every day this week. I did not introduce any new exercise.
Thoughts? It’s driving me crazy. Thanks!!!
