I am really struggling to stay on track with my calorie deficit when I’m around friends. On my own I’m doing really well. But last night I was hanging with some friends and I’d already eaten dinner and had all my calories for the day when they decided to order pizza. I was perfectly happy saying no thank you, I don’t want anything, but there was a lot of peer pressure for me to get food with them when I didn’t want to. They ordered and I didn’t get anything, but when they went to collect it and came back my friend was like ‘oh we got you some mozzarella sticks anyway!’ And handed me a box. I ended up eating them, and then another friend kept encouraging me to have a slice of her pizza so I ate that too, and this morning I’m really upset that I ended up going above maintenance calories yesterday because of this. I’ve told my friends I’m trying to lose weight, but several of my friends have struggled with eating disorders in the past so I feel uncomfortable talking about dieting in front of them as I don’t want to trigger them. This is mostly just a rant but I’d love to hear how other people have dealt with things like this?
