Anyone else found it easier to lose weight on a high carb diet?

Since I started losing weight the bulk of my diet has been potatoes, rice, bread, pasta, fruits and veggies. Of course I have some protein and fat too, they're important for health. But I just find it so much easier to feel satisfied with fewer calories this way. I think it might be because they're generally less calorie dense, so I can eat bigger volumes, which for me feels more satisfying. I've tried other ways but I never feel as good.

I just see a lot of people here eating high protein/fat (and great if that works for you!), but I was just curious if anyone here has had a similar experience to me.
