I got diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 23 years old a year ago. I had gained a little bit of weight prior just from the pandemic but I was relatively thin my whole life before that. Once I got diagnosed in September, my doctor put me on prednisone for 2 months and that gave me a slight weight gain and moon face. After this, I was put on inflectra in January of this year, and that’s when my dramatic weight gain started. Over the course of this year, I gained over 35 pounds and it has ruined my self confidence. It’s weird because most people lose weight with Crohn’s disease (in a bad way) but I gained weight. Has anyone been in my position or similar? I don’t know if I’ll ever be back to how I was before.
