Step count ideas

I have a really really sedentary lifestyle. I walk 4000-5000 steps a day averaged out over a week. I’m a wedding photographer so 5 days a week I’ll do 2000 steps from sitting around and editing. Then 2 days I’ll do 5k-10k steps. So really awful.

I joined the gym earlier this year and I’ve lost 23 pounds. I go 2-5 times a week around lunch time but even that is awful for step count because I’m weight training.

I can add in a walk every morning before I sit down for the day and I think that would make a huge difference to my wellbeing and step count.

But it would still mean I’m sitting all day. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can’t get a stand up desk because of the way my room is laid out I have to have a corner desk.

I’m wondering if it might just be easier to get an active job for during the week šŸ˜‚

I’ve set reminders to move but I end up just ignoring them as I end up walking around the house with no goal which feels really pointless. Like I’m just walking from one end of the house to the other like a lunatic. What do you do if you have a move reminders?
