From January 2019 to April 2020, I lost about 140 lbs — my start weight was 336 lbs, and I got down to 197 lbs. For reference, I’m 27F, 5’7”.
Since then, I’ve regained all of that weight. I’m now back up to 333 lbs. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cause of my weight gain. Part of it was covid throwing everything out of balance, and another part was that finally being in onederland (subconsciously) terrified me and brought a lot of doubts with it. I think I retreated back into my old habits because it was familiar and comforting, but I’m just not happy at my current weight.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve been doing a lot of work in therapy, and I finally feel ready to start losing weight again. I feel like a stronger, more capable person who has been making a lot of strides in other areas of her life, and I know I can do this too.
With this post, I just wanted to put it out into the universe to speak it into existence. I’ve lost weight before and I’ll do it again! I’ve got this! For anyone else who is struggling after regaining weight, you’re not alone, and you’ve got this too!
