My weight loss has slowed down a bit this month, so I decided to actually up my calories a bit. I've been feeling more hungry lately so I thought I'd try it and see if my metabolism has adjusted to my diet. I'm about a week into my diet break and honestly it's been good to see how much I've learned about eating well and listening to my body. I'm eating up near maintenance calories right now and it's nice to see what that is like and how it will be when I'm finished with my weight loss journey and ready for my lifelong journey of maintaining a healthy weight.
I also started a new job for the spring/summer between semesters of school and it's very active (a deliberate decision on my end to help me shed extra pounds this summer and get in better shape) and it has been a GREAT first week! I have definitely walked more this week than I did the entire school year and I'm SO sore! But it's so worth it! My lungs burn, my legs are tired, and I need new shoes, but I know this summer is going to be good for me and for my health. Exciting things are happening!
