Hi! I just wanted to share my small victory and maybe it will inspire those of you who were hesitant like me in the beggining to give it a go.
We're told that dieting plays the most important part in the weightloss progress and countless of people have lost weight without exercising, and this was also my approach. I am on the heavier side of people and was terrified of starting to exercise worried I'd hurt my joints or just generally do more harm than good with how heavy I was and out of shape. I kept postponing including the exercises in my daily routine until I was in overweight range but one day something sparked in me.
Browsing youtube about bodyweight exercises and how to slowly prepare myself to get back in shape I found a 30 min video of "no jumping exercises to get lean" and I thought I'd give it a go to see where I am as this seemed easy. Boy, was I wrong. Not 10 minutes in I was sweating like a pig in the middle of the desert, heart rate off the scale and nauseus - I had to stop. And I didn't even jump or run.I was terrified my body was in this state. I decided to keep pushing myself with this workout every day to finally complete it, and today is the day I completed with no shortness of breath, no crazy spikes in pulse, no sore muscles the next day - completely in my comfort zone and ready to go for more.
I know this might not be a lot to most of you, but to me it is a huge milestone to see a tangible result in my condition and how it improved. I couldn't be more proud of my past self that gave me a kick in the butt to start looking after myself. Maybe it will help some of you who are in doubt or worried just like I was to give yourself this final push to move your body. This is something I keep reminding myself when I go for more difficult workouts now - every minute of exercise and every move is better than none, so keep going guys - I am rooting for every single one of us! 😊
