I try to get at least 8000 steps strictly of exercise , not including whatever movements I do the rest of the day. This week I happened to trip and could have really hurt myself. I am 48 years old and my reflex are not what they used to be. I got myself walking sticks even though it must look weird since I mainly do urban walking but I don't give a damn. Moving my arms with the walking sticks almost doubled my calorie burn!
They can be purchased for a few dollars to 250$ but unless you are going up the Himalayas, cheap will do the job.
