Gained my confidence back, through losing the weight.

I am 25f, from the US. I’m very petite and my ideal body weight is around 100lbs.

As a teen, I had gained an extra 100 pounds, and became morbidly obese. I was told that by my doctors, so I went into very strict dieting and lost the weight. Changed my entire life.

Flash forward 10 years later, I had gained it all back. I could blame my circumstances but at the end of the day, it was the tribulations of living life that caused me to regain the weight.

After having some pretty serious health affects recently from this extra 100lbs, I decided to dedicate myself to weight loss. And I have. I’ve already lost around 10 pounds in a few weeks.

I’m the lowest weight than I’ve been in many years. I can’t explain how proud I am of myself. I have way more energy, I’m viewing food as fuel again, instead of just as a pleasure. I still treat myself, but have been working out daily, and have huge salads as my bulk meals.

I cannot wait to be back into the body I was most comfortable in, it will happen. But I really feel that, I am finally accepting myself for who I am right now, and that’s why this weight is coming off. I stopped blaming myself and now instead, I give myself love and support.

Just wanted a place to share this progress - it’s harder for things to grow in the dark, so I wanted to shine some light on my story.
