What one thing I can do to lose fat?

I am 34y F with body weight 124 lbs at 5'2. I am a stay-at-home mom with one kid and have a rather sedentry lifestyle (under 5k steps). I eat home cooked meals except for weekend dinner. I also don't eat more than 2 full meals a day. Never consumed alcohol or tobacco in my life. Also no soda more than twice in a month. The only thing I am guilty of is maybe sugar which i also try to controlI recently got my lipids checked and my cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides were high. Dr told me its because my body fat percentage is high. My body is also comparatively lean except for belly and thighs which looks chubby even after 2 years postpartum.Also, my weight before baby was 107 lbs. I wanna start and really stick to only one thing (specific food, exersice, any routine etc) so that I don't lose motivation.
