Welp. Went to a baby shower and then to my in-laws after. I counted up how many times I was offered sugary food (person asking me if I would like X sugary food) and it was upwards of 20 times. Im not kidding. Around 20 times.
A majority of those times were rare foods that I never have (cakes, cookies, cake pops). The worst part: most times I was asked multiple times over the same items by the same people!
The sucky part is I ended up giving in. Had 2 cake pops, a piece of cake, a cookie, a small handful of powdered sugar Chex mix, and a small cup of Dr Pepper over the span of a whole day. I haven’t ate that much sugar in forever and now I feel like crap (shocker!).
I don’t want to ever have a day like that again. I feel like after today I have wrecked my body.
How do y’all recover from sugary defeat days like these?
