I'm looking to restart my weight loss journey. I had some success with Noom many years ago but the most frustrating part for me was the food database not always having very common foods for my region (New Zealand) available. I liked the psychology part of the app but the advertising was '10 minutes a day' and I'm sure I spent far longer per meal in there every day trying to enter all the nutritional information. That was very frustrating.
Noom may have improved but reading over some recent threads it appears people are looking for alternatives to it due to cost, so I will also research alternatives to keep costs down. Honestly I've begun to search but it's a little overwhelming with all the apps out there now. But if I can rule out ones that have a crappy NZ food database, it will make my life much easier and I'll be more likely to continue with it.
Can anybody recommend ones with a decent food New Zealand/Australia food database or let me know which ones to avoid?
