If I pull an all-nighter, and stay up all night (for studying/reset sleep schedule), should I only eat one days worth of calories? or 2 days?
I was wondering, I am staying up all night to study/reset my sleep schedule for school, I am also in the midst of a caloric deficit, I woke up this morning at 10:00 a.m. October 7th, and the plan to go to bed at 10:00 p.m. October 8th. How many calories should I eat during this time? (36 hours)
Is it still considered one day because I have not slept? Or is it pretty much 2 days because I would have been awake for 2 days? Like does your body differentiate between the days, or does your body only know that it has been one day because you have not really slept?
I am just making sure because I do not want to over eat and ruin the caloric deficit, as well as I do not want to under eat and lose muscle mass. Please let me know because I am very confused, I know that technically I would only be staying at for 36 hours, but at that point I am awake for two days and going to be sleeping after 2 days have passed. At this point I do not understand if my body will know what's up and I do not understand how calories work during this time. Like I have heard that you burn calories in your sleep, what that mean that I need to eat even less during this time? Or does that mean I would need to eat even more because I'm awake during this time? Please let me know this is a very confusing situation
