I'm a 40 year old male who just recently had a heart attack. 5'5 and 258 lbs. I've gone through many, many drinking binges. Many, "I'll start eating better tomorrows." Only to find out there's an outing that night and splurging or just being tired and not cooking/eating massive quantities of fast food.
I despise how I look. I once took off 70lbs, years ago, and idk how I did it but I looked and felt good.
Doc says I need to lose weight right now and I have meds ofc and I'm STILL screwing up despite despising the way I feel and look. I have so much more potential than this but every time I get on a decent counting routine, or even just cutting out most crappy sugars and highly fattening foods I eat like mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, etc.
I've almost lost faith in myself but I know it's still possible. My life depends on it.
Please give some gold nuggets to a guy who's single, works and sleeps odd and inconsistent hours, drinks maybe 3x a week. I am not good at counting. I always seem to fall off after 3 weeks or so but I would love for something to just work for me.
I'm not so much as concerned about losing the weight as I am keeping it off, forever, no matter what, but i'd love to look healthy again.
