How to get past the first 10-15 pounds?

I F(18) 5'9" have tried to lose weight in the past I'm around 218 pounds when I am not trying. Within the last 4+ years I have been able to drop down to 208-200 many times (once like low 190s), but at some point I always seem to stop trying and go right back to 218.

I moved into college 5 weeks ago (once again at 218) and have lost around 10 pounds since I got here from increased walking (10k+ steps most days, and one day somehow 31k) also started to eat better 2 weeks ago (tracking what I eat in a day with photo collages).

I fear I am already loosing motivation I haven't been as good these last few days and I have been more tired with school work. I also know that I am an emotional eater and the all nighter I pulled a recently is not helping anything.

I know if I just keep pushing and try to be consistent that progress will happen, but looking for advice on how to gain motivation. Especially when I am surrounded by people who have no idea I am trying to do this.
