Getting back on track after period each month

Hello everyone, I’ve noticed a few posts about this recently. Each month my period tends to de-rail all the progress I’ve made. I get stuck in a cycle of losing and gaining the same five pounds. I’m breastfeeding and also take Provera to treat endometrial hyperplasia, so I’m generally an emotional hormonal mess, ravenous, and just weak/exhausted 10 days each month.

Curious if anyone has tips or tricks for pushing through these issues. I occasionally wonder if this is even the right time for me to try to lose weight, but I’m determined because I think it will help me to have the stamina I need to raise my kids and hopefully heal my uterus along the way!
