Completely lost with how to eat

Hi all,

So my journey started in 2017. I was 18stone (6ft) unhappy in marriage. We decided to end things, I started gonna the gym and having shakes during day along with a typical body building style evening meal (rice, chicken breast & kale).

Within 6 months I was down to like 14.5-15stone. Felt great, still going the gym odd cheat meal and getting stronger.

Weight didn’t really change much over the next 1-1.5 years but I was slowly getting leaner I’d say.

During that time I transitioned to keto for 6 months then did 3 months carnivore until Covid when I also met my partner. As sometimes happens we feel into the eating crap takeaway a fair but etc so I put a stone back on. No biggie started back at gym and things going well until November 2020 when I was in a serious freak accident.

A 7.5 tonne road sweeper that was being towed came loose, fell onto the path I was walking my dog along and hit me from behind.

I came away luckily with a type 6 tibial plateau fracture of my left leg.

Took years to and 3 surgeries to be wear I am now. Walking and can run a little bit not well.

During this time I have shot back to 18 stone.

My issue is since the accident I haven’t been able to stick to a diet or the gym. Some of it could be because I am so far from where I was physically and can’t do some things as easily but I just can’t settle on how to eat.

Currently I’m eating rice and chicken most of the time and walking my dogs twice a day.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the life story 🤣
