I did a 5K today at the beach and then snorkeling after. The tide was stronger than I thought and I got carried out a little and wasn’t anticipating it. I got back to shore fine, but it did end up taking a little bit of work.
My mistake came that I forgot to bring water with me, and like an idiot I thought I would be fine. I was very wrong. I’ve been throwing up everything this morning and lost a lot of the little water I was able to drink. I was able to drink water with dinner and so far kept it down.
I remember when my mom said not to drink water when exercising because your body can wait a half hour and you’ll drop pounds quickly after your workout. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
This is basically just a PSA to please drink water. You don’t want to feel like me, constantly nauseous with a big headache and no energy. Please, whatever you do, drink water.
