I've always been MILDLY overweight but also been at healthy weights. I guess a bit of unintentional yo-yoing. I went through a huge fitness kick where I was eating really healthy (very plant based) and exercising a LOT. I kind of fell off that and very gradually gained weight (maybe like 20-30 pounds) over two years. I've been trying so hard to get to a healthy weight. For reference, I'm 5'9 and ~175 lbs and I want to be back around 140-150. I also don't want to overtrain my body with exercise because losing/maintaining weight like that isn't sustainable.
I tried meticulously tracking calories for a few months and it didn't really help AND I found myself developing a bad relationship with food. I've lost and been at healthy weights very mindlessly before and I just know we don't need to spend our lives obsessing over food and exercise to be healthy. So my QUESTION IS. How do you guys unintentionally lose weight/be in a calorie deficit? I just want to live my life and be healthy and happy without constantly thinking about these kind of things.
