A coworker told me i was gaining weight today and it was really great

That title sounds weird, i know. But he was nice and caring about it and I respect his brutal honesty. He is also from another country where its in their culture to be upfront about weight like that. I was overweight from age 10ish-29. After that I lost 80 pounds over the last 3 years or so, so he only knew me at one size since I started back in October.

We work in IT and I have been traveling a lot for the job for the last two months and came back to the office this week. I definitely feel like I have gained some weight back from studying, buying a house, and work stress (using that per diem money on big dinners and beers lol). It kind of sucks when you travel and you're alone and have nothing to do. I find myself just going out and getting unnecessary meals and drinks that I never would at home. I look at the scale tonight and I definitely piled on 10 - 15 pounds in the last 3 months or so. I have noticed shirts and pants feeling more uncomfortable.

Maybe some people will disagree with me, but I wish friends were more honest like this with eachother. A lot of people would get offended or sad and maybe even complain to HR or something lmao. Thanks to him I am more self aware and now I know and caught it before it got out of hand. Kind of kicked my ass out of a fog.

Gotta buckle down now and get back to my routine. And ofcourse start grocery shopping when traveling! Gonna get this extra weight off and get back to my normal self

If anyone has any "hotel room meal prep" tips let me know. The places I stay are pretty nice but they only have microwaves.
