Hi! I’m a teenager currently trying to lose weight, but I’m struggling to find ways to achieve it.
For some background I’ve been vegetarian all my life, and I eat decently healthy. I eat lots of vegetables, beans, grains, fruits, etc. I’m homeschooled, and don’t play sports, I’ve never been into athletics. Currently I’m 5,7 and 160 pounds.
I bought a walking pad, and occasionally use it, but I have a very low attention span (my family suspects I have ADHD, or something similar) and can’t get into the habit of using it regularly. Ive also tried Pilates/workout videos on YouTube, swimming, roller skating, and running. but can’t stay consistent with anything. I absolutely despise any sort of exercise that feels like exercising.
I’ve also been more mindful about my eating (nothing excessive, I’ve struggled with binge eating before and I’m trying to relearn how to listen to when my body is full, and not eating just because I’m bored) but so far I haven’t seen any sort of progress.
My goal is to lose 10 pounds, which seemed very easy, but it’s been a year now, and I haven’t seen any progress. I know I should be moving my body more, but everything feels so boring! I don’t know what to try now, since everything doesn’t seem to stick for me
