30F, current weight 54kg and 163cm tall.
I lost some weight for an event in November 2024 (60kg to 52kg). My diet was pretty restrictive as I was on a short time frame, so not something I would like to sustain long term. Since then, I've tried to maintain that weight by increasing calories cautiously and keeping exercise the same. I currently exercise around 1.5 hours a day, and based on my watch which I know isn't perfectly accurate, burn about 1800-2000 a day.
Since I was concerned about gaining weight by increasing calories too fast, I only increased my intake to around 1350 a day which would still put me in a pretty significant defecit and my goal was to slowly increase from there. However, I seem to be slowly but surely gaining weight and have gone from 52kg to my CW of 54kg over a few months.
I really don't want to gain much weight back as I feel my best at 52kg. I've heard the starvation mode thing is a myth, so I'm a little lost as to what might be going on. Where should I start to identify the problem? I weigh food and track strictly.
Would really appreciate any advice on how I can keep this weight off without living with a miserably restrictive diet if possible.
