Why is it when you start to lose weight, people start to get weird about it?

5’10”, 22 years old SW: 165 CW: 145 GW: 135

My best friend/roommate and I wanted to drop some weight together. But when she couldn’t hold up her end of the deal, I just kept on going without her.

But now there’s always a little comment about everything I do.

I bought a food scale to track macros and my deficit. When she saw it, she seemed oddly reluctant about it. Saying “you look fine now, I don’t need to lose more weight”, and “you’re gonna get too skinny”.

People at work keep bringing in treats everyday. I pass on everything. “Oh, you only live once, one piece of cake won’t hurt”, or “she’s too healthy, she won’t eat that stuff”.

It’s like people are supportive until you actually follow through with your promises to yourself.

And it’s the tone of voice they use that really bothers me.

Make it make sense…

I’m just keeping my head down and doing me.
