Looking for some next steps advice - weight loss plateau

22F, 5'9" tall, current weight 143lbs, starting weight 175lbs (lost over course of 6 months), goal weight 130lbs

I'm feeling a little stuck.

First some background: The first 20 pounds of my weight loss were the effortless effect of getting off the medication I was taking that causes the initial weight gain (+60lbs in 1 year), so I made no changes during that time. I started putting in active effort around 3-4 months ago with a calorie deficit that I've been told was too low (1200 calories a day). I lost 7 pounds on that deficit over the course of about 3 months, but when January 2025 hit, I suddenly stopped losing weight. I started going to the gym about 3-5 times per week around that time (weight training), so I'm guessing I was losing fat at a similar rate that I was building muscle. In the last 3 weeks, I've raised my caloric intake to 1450 daily so that I could reach protein goals of around 130g daily which was hard to do on my previously too low deficit.

Over this new year so far, I've lost only about 5 pounds (not to mention the constant fluctuations) and I'm feeling really stumped. It doesn't make sense to me how I'm putting in more intentional effort yet seeing less results. In the last few days I've started implementing a 10k step daily minimum, so I'm curious to see if that will do anything.

I'm just feeling kind of stuck and burnt out at the moment. I don't want to go back to being underweight like I was pre-medication, but I want to be leaner and stronger than I currently am, and I feel like my efforts are not wielding results. Does anyone have recommendations on what I should implement, or notice anything I'm doing wrong based on what I've described?
