Why do some “health experts” and even regular people who’ve lost weight tell people who’s lives have been completely destroyed by a junk food addiction to eat junk food in moderation ? How is this even legitimate advice ? It’s like telling a drug addict “ Do drugs but just in moderation don’t overdo it “ that is almost impossible when you’re addicted to something which many people overlook. This message is for people who have a history of addiction to junk foods / processed foods , if you don’t struggle with this the message isn’t for you !
Junk food is designed to be highly addictive by experts and scientists , this is literally their profession , the junk food industry funnels billions of dollars into perfecting these recipes to keep customers hooked and coming back for more each time , it’s been confirmed that junks food trigger the same part of your brain that drugs do ( multiple studies have confirmed this ) , it causes huge spikes in your dopamine levels the same way as cocaine and nicotine and also has the same withdrawal effects if you do try to stop eating it , this is exactly why many people relapse and struggle with fully cutting out junk food .
It’s designed to never really make you feel full which is why you’re always hungry despite eating so much . Its been engineered to have little to no micronutrients hence why many obese and overweight people despite their weight battle with nutritional deficiencies in essential vitamins like vitamin D , B12 and magnesium . Vitamin D in particular is especially important as it contributes to both bone health and mood which many overweight people have reported to suffering with . In conclusion the idea that you can eat something that is damaging your body slowly and ageing you in “moderation” is unrealistic. People who have suffered with a processed food addiction can look forward to a life of struggles ( heart disease, high blood pressures, joint pain , diabetes , depression , fatty liver disease and so much more ) if they don’t fully cut this poison out of their diet for good .
