Weight loss and digestion

Dear community members,

Apologies in advance for this sort of question but I was really curious. I have noticed that every time I start watching my food intake and move more, I get better bowel movements. Is there any other reason except for an obvious one that I might be consuming more fiber and being more active in general contributes to better digestion…? I read somewhere that fat is excreted in the form of CO2 through breathing and pores mainly meaning I am not getting rid of the fat when I hit the toilet….
