I feel guilty about a rest day

I eat a calorie deficit regardless but every day I’ve been walking 5-10km around my area to burn extra calories to get rid of some weight before I get back into more intensive exercises and it’s worked wonders. I haven’t missed a single day since I started like month ago but today is fucking scorching outside (39° C rn and the lowest it’ll get to is 27 at 8pm), so I decided to have a rest since tomorrow should be cooler.

Now even though I eat a calorie deficit anyway, I just feel lazy when I don’t do my walk and I fear that later today when I get on the scale the number will be slightly higher instead of slightly lower. I know fluctuations are normal and I’m sort of beating myself up but I have been so consistent and it’s been working, and my biggest fear is that I break a good habit.
