So I see a few posts on here mention glycogen and water storage increasing your weight when you start working out. I’ve recently started going back to the gym, I’ve gone to the gym a few times in my life for maybe 6-9 months at a time before getting caught up with stuff.
I’m 6’1 and was 103kg but wouldn’t say I’m at all that fat, could definitely lose a few kg’s but I’m certainly not bad. Anyway, 2 weeks in and I’ve gained 6kg. Been going to the gym 5-6 days a week, 4 muscle group sessions and 2 HIIT sessions. I haven’t changed anything in my diet, I’ve always eaten reasonably well but I’m probably teetering on the edge of a deficit most days I would say.
Is this amount of gain normal?
