Does anyone feel like that the goal you want seems further away the closer you get to it?

So, I've been trying to get fit and healthy and started my weight loss journey this year (technically, I started in Nov 23 but took a 2 month break in Feb-march so it's essentially the same time frame). I've lost a decent amount of weight and gotten stronger in gym. I set my goal to reach a healthy bmi of 23 then after that if needed to lose more to reach 12-15% body fat. Now, I'm 178cm and 25M so for 23 BMI , my weight should be like 160 approx and rn, I'm at 185. Thing is : it seems so much harder to lose weight. I lost the first 60 pounds and reached under 200 so quickly. But now, it seems like every kg drop (2.2 pounds) takes a while. I've only lost 5 pounds in all of November. I'll admit that I've been slipping more often recently due to holidays and vacations but I've tried my best to get 15K steps in daily and eat below maintenance. I wanted to reach 165 pounds before march to surprise my family when I visit them in March (family occasions). But it seems so difficult now that maintaining a deficit is harder (I assume that as I reduce weight, my maintenance has lowered). Anyone else feel this way? Any tips on how to deal with it?
