How Will Weight Loss Change My Shape?

I’m 23 years old, 5’0", and weigh 186.6 lbs. My body fat percentage is 53.8%, and I have a small frame. I’m trying to understand my body type better and what to expect as I continue on my weight loss journey.

From what I can tell, I have an apple-shaped body, as most of my fat is stored in my midsection. I also have an overhang belly, which I’m really self-conscious about. My upper arms, thighs, and back hold some fat too, but my stomach is definitely the biggest area of concern. I also have really bad knock knees, which make me feel even more self-conscious when walking or standing.

I’ve started working on losing weight through treadmill workouts and strength training, but I want to know:

Do I have a body type that’s more likely to store fat in certain areas, like my stomach?

How likely is it that I’ll end up with loose skin, given my weight and body fat percentage?

Is there anything specific I should focus on (diet, exercises, etc.) to reduce fat in a balanced way and avoid as much loose skin as possible?

Bonus/Fun Question: If I got really fit, what kind of body could I realistically expect? I’ve seen transformations of girls who were 60-70 lbs overweight and ended up with beautiful, curvy, lean bodies. But I feel like I’m built differently, so I wonder how I’d look after dropping the weight.

Would my knock knees improve, or would they still stand out even after getting lean?

Could I ever achieve that "curvy fit" look, or would my body lean more toward something like athletic or slim?
