I lost approximately 40 pounds in a space of 18 months through diet and walking. As a short person, it was a significant weight decrease and I felt very proud. It was a slow process but I was quite motivated to get slimmer.
Now, 1 year later I struggled to stop my weight slowly increasing.
I start weightlifting in gym and initially attributed weight gain with water retention and muscle gain. However, it has been now 6 months and I still gaining weight.
I loosely tracking my calories and protein intakes and substantially increase them since my weight loss period. Hoping I can compensate that by building muscles.
In reality I am tired from food restrictions and using food as a coping mechanism to overcome stress, overwork and general tiredness.
Any ideas or examples to go back on track for fitness?
Thanks
