Wondering whether anyone has an answer for me regarding calories burned during breastfeeding? To lose weight does CICO apply, or do hormones play a role? Or both, and how so? I don't know how much milk i am producing, but probably a fair bit. I am exclusively breastfeeding a 2month old (about 15 short feeds in a 24hr period) and breastfeeding a toddler four times a day, for 5-20 mins each feed. But I am really having trouble shifting weight postpartum. Does this indicate that I am eating too many calories (even though i don't feel like i'm eating much) or is my body "holding onto fat" as i've heard some mums say? what's the go, and how do i lose weight?
