I'm a female, 5'3, currently 157 pounds. I started at 201 and lost weight in a little under a year. I currently wear about an 8-10 in dresses and I just bought a pair of jeans at the Gap with a 29 waist (I know about vanity sizing and discrepancies between brands, this is just for a frame of reference).
I would really like to get to 140, ideally 135, because that would put me at a normal BMI for my height, However, looking back at my old stats through the years, I always seem to stall at 145. In the past, I used to focus on calories, but now I just pay a lot of attention to portion sizes and cut back on junk food and soft drinks, plus I exercise a lot. I find this has been a lot better for me mentally and emotionally than hyperfocusing on calories. However, I wonder if I should start calorie tracking now if it would be effective in getting me down to 140/135? Also, why does my body always stick at this weight? I'm not very muscular, so it doesn't seem right for my height.
