Myo-inositol blocking weight loss?

I know most of you are not medical professionals, but I'm hoping someone in this huge and wonderful community has an experience with similar issue.
To make long story short, I have PCOS and I've been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. last year with help of fertility drugs and IVF. Over the last years I put on most of the weight I lost back, big chunk of it due to fertility drugs and then IVF drugs. I was losing again before our second IVF and my doctor recommended for me to take 4g of myo-inositol daily. It's supposed to help women with PCOS with insulin metabolism and should help with egg quality.
Until I started inositol, I was losing at predictable and comfortable pace of about a 1 lbs per week by CICO and was on my way out of obese range. However, after I started taking the inositol supplement, my weight loss stopped without any change in my diet or calories. I didn't care as much as I was focusing on the upcoming IVF which didn't work for us and I gained another almost 20 lbs during the procedure.
Now I lost almost 10 of those and started taking inositol again.... and again the weight loss stopped and I'm hovering around the same weight for almost two weeks now. However, now it's becoming really frustrating, since I really want to lose at least 8 lbs till end of September. If I do, I could qualify for clinical trial and get an IVF cycle for free. That's motivation like no other, lol.

Does anyone here have similar experience? How to overcome this and still lose weight? Or should I keep going and hope it's just causing plateau which will eventually break with whoosh?
I'm on the fence of stopping that supplement. On one hand, I really want tp keep losing, on the other, it's supposed to help with egg quality, which is pretty major thing I don't want to jeopardize.
