Lost 2kgs a week ( 4,4lbs ). Is it unhealthy?

Hello everyone,

I have a question to ask. When I was between 16 and 19 years old, I exercised regularly (4-5 times a week) and weighed around 187 lbs (85 kg). I was about 6 feet tall (184 cm). Then I stopped exercising and lost interest in many things. When the pandemic hit, I was stuck at home and only went to the gym maybe 5-10 times a month. Fast forward to two weeks ago, and I weighed 249 lbs (113 kg) 26 years old now.

I decided to start exercising at least three times a week. I also realized I needed to restrict my calories and improve my nutrition. I had been eating terribly—fast food, energy drinks, and sugary beverages with barely any plain water. I was overweight and had some muscle, mainly in my arms and chest.

Two weeks ago, I changed my diet. I cut out all sweets (snacks, beverages, etc.), fast foods, and generally unhealthy foods. I didn't think it was a drastic change.

My day typically starts with oats and protein, or sometimes no breakfast at all. Around 11 am, I have lunch, which is usually something I think is healthier, like a salad, tuna steak, or rice with meat. I'm not counting calories, just estimating in my head. After work (I have an office job), I work out or go for a walk, then have a protein shake. At home, I eat low-fat quark (which I think is also called cottage cheese) with some almonds, chia seeds, and protein. If I want something salty, I make 4-5 eggs with Sriracha and some greens.

This is my usual diet. I don't feel stressed or bad. I do have sugar cravings sometimes, but they’re not too bad. I had ice cream twice. That's all.

My question is: is this okay? I started at 113 kg, and a week later I weighed 111 kg. Now, exactly two weeks later, I weigh 108.2 kg. Is this a good pace, or should I add more calories? I've read that losing this much weight quickly can be unhealthy. But I feel great. My energy is better, I feel better in my body, my mood has improved. Overall, I think I'm benefiting a lot from this. However, I don't want to rush things and end up with some unhealthy outcome.

Thanks for your time!
