Does it hurt more to jump into water when you are overweight?

This might be a really dumb question, but I wasn't sure where to ask this and I thought maybe this community would be able to answer.

Recently, I did an adventure tour that combined several activities like jumping into swimming pools and ziplining. I am currently about 190 pounds and am very large chested.

The first activity I tried was a water zipline - which consists of riding a zipline for about 10 seconds over a pool, and then letting go of the zipline about 30 feet in the air and falling into the pool of water below. I noticed with this activity that it was hard to hold my grip on the zipline - would it have been easier to hold myself up if I weighed less?

More importantly - when I hit water I felt like I was in excruciating pain, specifically in my chest area. I don't even know how to describe it, just this immense pain radiating through my body.

About 10 hours have past, and I still feel very sore in my chest area and my whole body aches. I can't help but think back to today and realize that no one else seemed to have such a painful experience like I did, they all did several more of these types of activities, from even taller heights.

So my questions are:
1. Does body weight effect one's ability to hold their own weight up in terms of grip? 2. Is it common for overweight people to be more prone to feeling pain when jumping into water from a high depth? Or did I just hit the water wrong and it has nothing to do with weight? 3. Is this one of those activities that I will enjoy more once I weigh less? (Ziplining, cliff jumping, etc.)
