I've been losing weight really consistently since January. I'm down 31lbs all down to diet and exercise. I am not the kind of lucky person who experiences runners' high, post-lift pump or just the general endorphin rush that so many people get from exercise. My husband (who has worked out heavy his whole adult life) was amazed to hear I don't experience any sort of buzz after exercise, whereas he feels incredible.
It just made me all the more proud of my progress and consistency. I have to make all this effort all the time for no immediate satisfaction pay off. The only 'buzz' I get is after weeks/months of hard work seeing how my clothes are becoming looser and the scale number is going down.
Just wanted to say to the other folks out there who also don't get this endorphin high from exercise and still keep exercising anyway, you rock! We're at a disadvantage and we're still not letting it hold us back.
