feeling guilty that I’m losing more weight than my weight loss buddy

hi! Me (F21, 5’8”, SW:198 CW:157 GW:135) and my mum (similar height and SW, GW:150) started our weight loss together at the beginning of this year. It’s so great having each other for motivation, and celebrating the little victories, exercising together, comforting each other when we’re struggling, etc. But for the past month her weight hasn’t changed at all despite still dieting and walking daily, where as I have dropped 5 pounds. She’s been feeling a lot less motivated and kinda depressed having not lost more weight, while I still am. I’ve told her to be patient and kind to herself but to continue on the journey. I just feel bad and guilty for losing weight while she isn’t anymore.

I’ve also mentioned that this is normal during weight loss, but nothing i’ve said seems to make her feel better.
