Hi everyone, I decided to make a throwaway to ask for help or maybe advice on how to get out of a plateau. For context I'm 18 F and I started my journey at 65 kg (I know the kg's mentioned here probably sound crazy to the average gal but I'm pretty short at 156 cm). Over the course of almost a year I managed to get to the 53-52 range and for the past three weeks I've been stuck there. For context I'm on a deficit although I don't count calories on an app because I am in recovery from binge eating disorder and counting calories triggers binging, but I have a really good picture of how much I eat in a day because I never snack (didn't snack when I was overweight either) so all of my calorie intake is from lunch and dinner. I'd say its on the 1200 to 1000 range. I've been going to the gym for awhile to make sure my metabolism doesn't start malfunctioning from the diet change and the whole time I've been going it has helped me tons with weightloss, I'd go as far as to say its helped more than the diet. I usually do 30 mins cardio and 30 mins strength 4 times a week and sometimes I do functional training which is definitely tougher so I rarely do that.
I have a few theories on why I'm stuck on 52-3, My initial thought was that I don't drink enough water and I'm suffering from the classic case of water retention. Another thing That maybe is happening is that I am in fact still loosing fat but because I go to the gym I'm also gaining muscle so the scale doesn't budge so ill have to be patient (which would be the best case scenario).
I could really use some help or advice on the matter, I'm sorry if my English isn't the best by the way but I hope my point has been made clearly enough. Have a nice day :)
