Hey, r/loseit community,
I'm an 18-year-old guy about to graduate high school and head off to college soon. I've been struggling with my weight for a while now, and I could really use some advice and motivation to kickstart my journey to a healthier lifestyle.
I'm 6 ft tall and currently weigh around 280 lbs. I've always struggled with emotional binge eating, and it's been a major obstacle for me. Stress from school and life, in general, tends to trigger these episodes, and I find myself turning to food for comfort.
With college approaching, I know it's crucial for me to make a change now. I want to enter this new chapter of my life feeling confident and healthy, but I'm feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.
I've tried various diets and exercise routines in the past, but I've struggled to stick with them long-term. I often find myself losing motivation or giving in to cravings when things get tough.
That's why I'm reaching out to this supportive community for help. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has advice on how to stay motivated and committed to a weight loss journey. Whether it's tips on meal planning, exercise routines, dealing with emotional eating, or just words of encouragement, I'm open to any suggestions.
Additionally, if anyone has experience juggling weight loss with the demands of college life, I would greatly appreciate any insight you can offer.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and for any advice you can provide. I'm ready to take control of my health and start this journey towards a happier, healthier me.
