I'm trying to loose some fat but HATE counting calories. Because of that I've been struggling to stick to any, even the smallest calorie deficit long enough for it to result in weight loss.
Yet I've managed to find a diet that seems to work for me: I count calories & stay in a ~700 - 900 cal deficit during weekdays (since it's easier for me to distract from food when I don't have much free time) and let myself eat anything during weekends or other free days without counting calories & restricting.
As you might have already guessed this results in bingeing during the weekends. I usually gain about 0.3 - 0.5kg (0.7 - 1.1 lbs) during that time, but still loose weight overall (around 2kg the first month).
However now I'm facing an issue: long weekends.
One of them is about to come (in 2 days actually) and there's no way I'll be able to stay in a deficit during that time. I was planning on eating my mantainance for these 2 weeks but also take a break from counting calories (which wouldn't be helpful anyway since I'm super cofused when it comes to what my TDEE is). The problem is that always when I'm just eating whenever & whatever I want; not bingeing though; I feel like I'm still eating too much. I actually tried to do it one weekend with healthy foods and still ended up gaining weight.
The point is: how do eat the right amount, not more than my TDEE without restricting?
