This post is a long time coming. I have struggled with my weight for forever. It got worse when I was pregnant and stayed home for 10 years. For reference, my daughter is now 16! I yo-yo'd for a bit over the last 3 years until I had a breaking point mentally late last year. I lost a few pounds before committing to it.
I am F47, 5'3 (Sw 239) (Cw 199) (Gw1 175) (Gw2 150)
I have been doing CICO pretty strictly using the lose it app. I walk a lot at work, roughly 15-20k steps a day. My job is also fairly physical, so not much gym wise. I do have free weights at home and have been getting into yoga and meditation bc all the things!
I broke the barrier this morning and couldn't believe I finally did it. I have been getting tons of compliments and questions at work on how I'm losing it and up until very recently I didn't see many changes in myself. I can see it in my face, for sure and I've gone down from a 2xl at my heaviest in shirts to a large and depending on the shirt a M. Pants I've gone down roughly 2 sizes so far and some of those are getting bigger. I was able to wear a top I've been holding onto forever bc I loved it and it never fit. Not anymore!
I have a great team of guys and girls that I run at work and we're going to do a combo celebration and team building when I hit my first goal weight with a skydiving trip. My boss is coming with us to document. I'm super excited about this and is giving me the motivation to keep going!
I just wanted to share my success, I never thought I'd make it here! it's hard some days and cheat days happen. I have always been an emotional snacker, stress..snack, bored..snack, sad; a snack will fix that! We have candy and sweets everywhere at my job and I don't know where this new found willpower has come from, but I'm not going to let it beat me!
